This Privacy Policy explains what data InsiderPolls, Inc. ("we") collects about you when you use our website and data products ("Service"), and how we use it.
Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, and Google profile photo when you sign in via Google.
- Purchase data: records of which datasets you have unlocked and subscription status. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
- Usage data: pages visited, clicks, and aggregated session recordings via Hotjar to help us improve the site. IP addresses are processed but not retained long-term.
How we use it
- Provide and maintain the Service (authentication, paywall, downloads).
- Process payments and prevent fraud (via Stripe).
- Improve product design and content (via Hotjar and aggregated usage analytics).
- Send transactional emails (receipts, security notices). We do not send marketing email without explicit consent.
Third parties
We use the following service providers, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, hosting
- Stripe — payment processing
- Hotjar — anonymized session analytics
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account at any time by posting on our feedback board. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, anti-abuse, and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service that require sign-in will not function.
Children
InsiderPolls is not intended for users under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
